Breathe For Balance

When I heard … breathe in for the count of 5, hold for the count of 5 and breathe out for the count of 5 could balance your emotions in 5 minutes, I didn’t believe it.

It wasn’t long before I was given the opportunity to test this model.

A rare volatile situation occurred and I was shocked, angry and afraid – a house guest went ballistic.  I went for a walk and left the situation to others to handle.  This was a great time to trial the breathe for balance method.

I simply focused on my breath – not what I left back home.  It’s true … within 5 minutes I was calm and balanced and could think clearly.  Clarity in a crisis is priceless.  Ask anyone who experiences clarity in a crisis.

If your emotions are out of balance … do this exercise with discipline and you will cross that lake of turmoil quickly.
