Dose of Hope – Spiritual Symbolism
Many years ago in meditation I was walking with a spiritual master and he arranged some rocks in this pattern on a dirt path … he asked me what this meant to me … before I could speak he kicked the stones in all directions. I was devastated I hadn’t spoken quickly enough and went to defend myself.
He raised his finger in admonition to not speak … and as I waited and watched, all the stones came back into their original position.
He then asked me again, “What does this mean to you?”
I answered, “It doesn’t matter how far off your path you go, you will always be drawn back to it.”
He nodded and we kept walking in silence.
This event changed my self talk about beating myself up when I went off track. If I became conscious that what I was doing didn’t seem to fit with my purpose, I would presume it wasn’t for me to know right now why I am doing it, but to trust it would all work out in the end. Sometimes it is 5 years later the relevance of the seeming “off purpose” activity was, in fact, very on purpose … it just wasn’t needed for awhile.

That is really awesome ‘Julie’ and right in alignment with what I always say to myself, it doesn’t matter what you do because everything will work out for you. And there is the added thought that it doesn’t matter how long something takes the destination is always going to be the same.

What I have realised is that no effort or endeavour is ever wasted.
By the grace of God/Universe second chances are bestowed on us; recognize this, take it with both hands, give thanks and run with it (this time with more awareness!).
